An insightful thought on religion? WOW! I never thought that there was a need for a religion. Believe in God. That's it. Don't do any wrong. That's it. Isn't it? Sadly, people believe otherwise. They want a religion (no problems here..), but they want to do this at the expense of other religions that tend to exist. As if there is some kind of competition going on, and whichever religion wins, will get a date from the God himself! Really, this notion of 'my religion is better' does not hold good. Nor do these so-called 'prayers'. I mean, if you are doing it just like that, better not do it, isn't it? I will never come to terms with any religion. I'm better off just believing in God. That works for me.

In my opinion, religion is not for everyone. Most people can not survive without conflict. They would fight over rocks if we didn't have religions.
The kind of imagination needed to think of the big picture is possessed by maybe 2 out of 20 people. These people always make a positive difference in the world, no matter their place of birth, religion, or milieu.

What an imagination! Amazing! My vocabulary literally, doesn’t have sufficient adjectives to praise your way of thinking and your inner enlightened wisdom. The way you have depicted, the culmination of a religion after some ages, is actually what has happened to almost all the religion being followed by the followers of different believe. ‘The Lotus Temple’, New Delhi, and the other five across the world follow a religion called BAHAI religion, is basically a religion called ‘Sarba Dharma’ religion. Their followers meditate at the same very place recollecting their own God and they speak and give lectures expressing on the similarities and the universal good, which is stated in all the religion and that has been stated by their own Jesus or Krishna or Mohammad. Unfortunately there are a hand full of such followers across the globe.

I think whoever seeks the truth, will find it. Those who choose to satisfy themselves with rituals, will become stagnant and fight to remain stagnant. I have been to BAHAI temple. Calm place. But then again, what do you think will happen to it in 500 years?

Vimoh, I could never give my curiosity a convincing reply as to why such a religion like Buddhish which finds its oregine in India and has spread more in a deep rooted manner in countries like Japan, China, Singapore and even in Malayasia, but is struggling to death in India.

No, Swami Vijayananda, please do start a religion. I can name your new God. He is called "Chilanana Chen Chen". Some of the cardinal laws of your religion should be
1. To serve mutton curry in all religious functions. No vegi-grass eating. Paneer is strictly forbidden at all times. 2. Wake up in morning only after 10 AM. 3. And tell everybody else, "Convert or die!"

Creating a new religion could be a difficult project. Good, you've abandoned the idea. It needs imagination which should better be devoted to churning out blog posts...for the sake of readers that await your nice postings.
Imagination-rich devotees offer pizzas and chocolates to God; they write application to god for His favour; there's a specialist god for issue of visa...

But allow me to expand your future/prediction/(Psychohistory?).
The aliens make contact and start living among us. Aliens take YOUR religion, modify it to fit their own culture/behavior/biology and start worshiping you. They also change your appearance to match their own eye/stomach count.
Human fundamentalists are up in arms. Since everyone knows God (you) has only 2 eyes. Humans start killing aliens, alien citizens complain about soft governance and pseudo-alien-secularism, then later form their own bands are start killing humans.
Aliens Vs Humans over how best to worship God (you). Then Ripley joins forces with Predators and...
